Bike your Park Day – Shepherdstown

Bike Your Park Day is an event that anyone can participate in. Whether you’re a beginning or elite bicyclist, eight or 80 years old, wherever you are, get out and pedal your park!

Ride with a Ranger on the C&O Canal Towpath:
Meet at 9:30 am, Saturday, September 28 at Lock 38 near Shepherdstown WV (MM 72)– More parking 1/4 mile downstream
The ride is approximately 16 miles, prepare accordingly. Youth comfortable with that distance are welcome.
Relaxed pace – There will be stops at sites along the towpath to discuss the history of the C&O Canal and Antietam National Battlefield.
Helmets required.
Fat tire and hybrid tire bikes recommended, but not required.
