Appalachian Trail Conservancy Headquarters and Visitor Center
The Appalachian Trail (AT) Visitor Center has exhibits, activities for kids, a gift shop, and a hiker lounge. Staff and volunteers can help you plan a hike around Harpers Ferry. Peruse over 30,000 photos of hikers on the AT since 1979 and learn more about the AT. The front of the building is an iconic photo spot for hikers stopping in Harpers Ferry at the psychological midpoint of the trail. At mile marker 60.7, walk your bike across the bridge to Harpers Ferry. Turn right on High Street, continue for .6 miles at the AT Conservancy, and the Visitor Center will be on your left.
