Please join the Park and Trust to remove invasive species from Dargan Bend!
The C&O Canal National Historical Park follows the Potomac River for 184.5 miles between Georgetown and Cumberland, and is one of the most visited national park sites in the country. The C&O Canal Trust is the park’s official nonprofit partner, committed to supporting the park and local communities through fundraising initiatives, expanding accessibility and broadening support through programs that highlight the Park’s historical, natural, and cultural heritage.

Parking: There is parking available and onsite.
Restrooms: Vault toilets are available and onsite
Accessibility: Not wheelchair accessible
All ages are welcome, but parents do remain responsible for children the entire time. No drop-offs. Student Service Learning (SSL) hours are available; just bring your forms from the school and we’ll be happy to sign them.

Work supplies such as gloves, trash bags, and PPE will be provided. Bottled water and snacks will not be available onsite, so be prepared with your own provisions.

Weather-appropriate layers, including hats and gloves
Warm sturdy shoes or boots
Water and snacks as desired
Sunglasses, chapstick, etc.
