Located on the hill above the C&O Canal between Mileposts 99.1 and 99.5. The cemetery includes the final resting place of Williamsport founder General Otho Holland Williams, and many canawlers, and the closest grave to Lock 44--being that of the last lockkeeper at Lock 44 Harvey Brant. A quiet walk amongst the graves is a walk through American history from 1787 to the present--including the final resting places of soldiers from the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and World War I and World War II.
