Not far from Indigo Tunnel is the iconic Paw Paw Tunnel, built by the Canal Company to save five miles of canal construction along one of the Paw Paw bends of the Potomac River. While you're there, take a hike over the Paw Paw Tunnel Hill Trail for a different perspective of the bends.
