Dam #6 and Guard Lock 6

For eleven years, Dam Number 6 was the western terminus of the canal until the Paw Paw Tunnel was completed in 1850. Dam Number 6 provided the water for the canal for 27 miles down to Dam Number 5. The impressive ruins of Guard Lock 6 pay testament to those who constructed the canal.
