April 19-27, 2024 is National Park Week! During this week-long celebration, national parks across the country provide opportunities for visitors to come together to explore and commemorate these beautiful, natural places.
Each year, the National Park Week kicks off with a “fee-free” day. An opportunity that only comes around six times a year, Fee-free days allow visitors to enter a national park without having to pay the required parking or entrance fee to visit. This year, Fee Free day is April 19, 2024.
Additionally throughout the week of April 19-27,2025, parks across the nation will provide special days and events to honor National Park Week. Below, we have listed a few ways you can join us in celebrating the C&O Canal during our favorite week of the year!
