| On weekends in May through September, the Potomac Conservancy opens the doors of Lockhouse 8 and invites the park's visitors to come in and explore the history, science and conservation efforts aimed at protecting the Potomac River. The Potomac Conservancy has partnered with the National Park Service to help protect the Potomac River and promote good stewardship within the Potomac watershed. Parking for the Lockhouse 8 River Center is available in a small lot off of the Clara Barton Parkway. | |
